How to read your Vedic prediction report

Understand the main answer, timing windows and the context behind an interpretation.

Start with the question you asked, then inspect the chart material that accompanies the answer. A fluent paragraph is easier to read than a table, but the underlying chart is what makes a reading specific to the submitted birth details.

Four parts to recognize

PartWhat it represents in JyotishWhat to check
D1 / RashiThe main natal chart.Confirm it belongs to the birth details you submitted.
D9 / NavamsaA divisional chart used alongside the main chart in traditional interpretation.Read it in context, rather than as a standalone verdict.
Planetary tablePlacements and related chart information.Look for actual placements rather than descriptive adjectives alone.
Dasha timelinePlanetary periods and subperiods used in traditional timing methods.Identify the named period and the date range being discussed.

These terms describe a traditional Jyotish framework; they do not establish that a predicted event must occur.1

Separate data, interpretation and action

Use three different questions: “What does the chart show?”, “How is that being interpreted?”, and “What practical step would I consider?” This makes it easier to notice when a report moves from a placement to a conclusion without explaining the link.

For example, if a reading suggests a useful period for career reflection, write down the period, the reasons given, and one manageable action such as updating your portfolio. A suggested period is not a promise of an offer.

Ask for the connection

A helpful explanation relates its chart factors to your question and makes room for uncertainty. If the conclusion could be pasted unchanged into anyone’s report, look for the missing connection. Several technical terms on a page do not by themselves demonstrate a coherent interpretation.

Use timing as a planning lens

Record what you considered and what actually happened. Revisit the original wording rather than rewriting it after the event. For consequential choices, bring in the facts of your situation and the appropriate professional advice.

Start with the Direct Answer, then read the reasons and dated windows together. Looking Further Ahead adds context across the report’s horizon; it should not replace the answer to your main question.
